Living a dream as a photographer & filmmaker...
My name is Serge Batyrshin. I’m a photographer, filmmaker, & blogger. Welcome to my blog about my passions: photography & filmmaking!
I have been studying photography since I was about 12 years old. I started experimenting with 35mm Smena, and then Zenit camera, developed my own BW film, and printed the images under a dim red light in my bathroom.
I continued exploring the wonderful and magical world of photography throughout the years, while serving in the U.S. Army. Many years later I have completed my degree in photographic imaging.

In 2009 I got my feet wet as a Director of Photography on a feature film titled "Laundromat", directed by Evan Taff. After a year working on the film, I was hooked!
Today, I continue to experiment with moving images as a cinematographer and filmmaker, working on several projects, including my own short film titled "Square One" [working title].
